Aldosivi y Unión abrieron la fecha 14 de la Liga Profesional que significó la vuelta del público a las canchas del fútbol argentino. Más allá de los tres puntos el tatengue acomodó mucho su funcionamiento, incluso pudo reponerse de un resultado adverso, algo que parecía muy lejano en partidos anteriores.
Con esta victoria, Unión quedó a tres puntos de Argentinos Juniors, el último clasificado en este momento a la Copa Sudamericana.
