Unión se hizo fuerte como local y derrotó 2-1 a Godoy Cruz por la fecha 10 de la Liga Profesional 2022. Gracias a los goles de Imanol Machuca y Kevin Zenón, el Tatengue se quedó con los tres puntos en el Estadio 15 de Abril y se prendió en la pelea por el torneo.
Con este resultado, el equipo dirigido por Gustavo Munúa se posicionó en el tercer lugar de la tabla junto a Racing y Gimnasia, todos con 18 puntos.
